School Ethos and Values

At Croft Junior School we have high expectations and strive for excellence in a caring, happy and safe environment where every child is valued. Our priority is to deliver high quality teaching and learning, whilst providing rich and enjoyable learning experiences. We are an inclusive school and we believe that every child can succeed; we strive to remove any barriers to learning, enabling all children to celebrate personal achievements.

Our six school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our learners as confident, happy citizens. Our school values have been revised and updated with children discussing, debating and agreeing what is mort important.

Interweaving the fundamental British values of: Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty and Mutual Respect and Tolerance; our learners are prepared for life in modern Britain. We value the ethnic backgrounds of all pupils and families and undertake a variety of events and lessons to celebrate and explore these, alongside other cultures in our country. Our duty to safeguard children from radicalisation and extremism is adhered to through implementing 'The Prevent Strategy', which is a government strategy designed to stop people supporting any extreme cause or becoming terrorists or supporting terrorist causes.

At Croft Junior School, we celebrate 'Good Citizenship' in our weekly celebration assemblies.
